Do you have good communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team? Are you able to work accurately and neatly? Can you be diplomatic and courteous? Do you have good organisational skills and an interest in using IT? Then a career in Business Administration may be for you!

There are many different Business Administration opportunities. You could work in local government, the health sector, education, housing, finance, charities, manufacturing – the list is endless!

What training does Springboard Bromley offer? We offer Apprenticeships and Advanced Apprenticeship in Business Administration. If you are aged 16-24 you will not have to pay for your training – it is government funded. If you are 25 or over please contact us for costs.

What do Apprenticeships involve? Apprenticeships are all about gaining skills and expertise whilst doing the job

To complete an Apprenticeship you will need to be employed in a work placement that relates to the qualification you are studying. You will be paid a salary by your employer for the duration of your Apprenticeship.

In some instances you may be able to start working towards some of the qualifications for your Apprenticeship without being employed. If this is the case you may be entitled to claim EMA (Education Maintenance Allowance). You can obtain an application pack for EMA by calling 080 810 16 2 19, or by pre-registering on the EMA website at www.ema.dfes.gov.uk.

You will attend Springboard Bromley for regular training days. Your Training Advisor will agree your particular pattern of attendance with you.

Business Administration Apprenticeships (NVQ Level 2) may take between 9-12 months. Advanced Apprenticeships (NVQ Level 3) typically take up to 24 months.

During your Apprenticeship you will complete an NVQ (Level 2 or 3), Key Skills and a Technical Certificate. More information about these can be found on our Apprenticeships page.

To apply for an Apprenticeship call us on 020 8460 7555 to find out about the opportunities available. Or book a place on one of our Enrolment Days. We recruit throughout the year. We look forward to hearing from you!

Here's what two of our Apprentices had to say about their course:

Michelle is 18 and coming to the end of her Apprenticeship in Business Administration and had this to say about her course, “I like my trainer Ros, she is really helpful and always prepared to listen to you. The best part of my job is working on Reception. There is a friendly atmosphere at Springboard Bromley and I’m looking forward to going on to do my Advanced Apprenticeship. Ultimately I hope to be an Office Manager.”

Gavin, 17, is working towards his Apprenticeship in Business Administration, and hopes to work in a solicitor’s office when he has finishes his course. As Gavin explained, “The trainers here are very approachable and I feel I am making good progress. I enjoy my placement and feel I am a valued member of the team.”
